CS2 crosshair editing: keep the original, see the difference
A crosshair editor lets you adjust CS2 settings and see the difference before applying them. JumpThrow accepts current codes, older codes and console configs, keeps an original for comparison, and exports a code or config. Its browser preview has documented limits; confirm the result at your actual resolution in CS2.

What should you change first?
Start with the crosshair you already use. Import it into the JumpThrow crosshair editor, keep the original, and change one setting. A deliberate comparison is easier to assess than replacing your entire setup at once.
Compare the columns; scroll the table on smaller screens.
| Control | What it changes | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Style | The crosshair’s shape and behavior | Choose a supported style before adjusting style-specific controls. |
| Length, gap and thickness | The proportions around the aiming point | Compare draft and original at the same displayed resolution. |
| Color, opacity and outline | Visibility against the background | Use the flat-background checks, then test actual game environments. |
| Resolution, zoom and stretch | The editor’s display | These controls do not change the underlying settings or code. |
Read the import receipt
The editor accepts a current code, an older CSGO- code or crosshair console commands. You can also import a supported config file up to 128 KiB. Older code and config imports show a review before Apply; errors leave your current draft in place.
The review distinguishes copied values from conversion, rounding, clamping and unsupported commands. A code that imports successfully may still need a decision from you. Read that receipt rather than assuming an old setup maps exactly onto the current game.
Compare without losing your starting point
Use Original and Draft for a quick check, Wipe to inspect their overlap, or Side by side to view both. The changed-field list names each difference and lets you revert one field. Undo and redo support experiments; saved variants stay in browser storage.
Apply the output in CS2
Use the code or config export and follow the editor’s installation steps. A browser copy or download does not install the result into the game. Check the finished result in CS2 at your actual resolution, especially after converting an older code.
The editor is useful for choosing settings, not a guarantee of better aim. Review recorded aim evidence separately. If you want other workflows, read the crosshair generator comparison.

What to look for
Inspect imports
Review conversions, rounding and unsupported fields before applying an older code or console config.
Keep your original
Switch between original, draft, wipe and side-by-side views; inspect every changed field.
Edit exact values
Use numeric inputs alongside sliders and see when a value is outside the in-game menu range.
Take it into CS2
Copy the resulting code or console commands, or export a config file.
A practical starting point
Import or start fresh
Paste a current code, an older CSGO code or crosshair console text. Review any conversion before applying it.
Change one thing
Adjust a setting, then compare the draft with the original at the same resolution and background.
Apply and check
Use the exported code or config in CS2, then confirm visibility at your actual resolution.
Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert an older CSGO crosshair code?
Yes. JumpThrow reviews older codes and maps supported settings into the current editor. The import receipt shows converted, rounded, clamped, defaulted and unsupported fields; it does not promise an identical historical appearance.
Is the preview pixel-perfect?
No such claim is made. The editor documents known rendering and compatibility limits. Use the preview to compare approximate appearance, then verify the exported result in the game.
Can I compare two versions?
Yes. Draft, Original, Wipe and Side by side views use the same resolution, zoom and background. The changed-field list and per-field revert help you understand exactly which settings differ.
