CS2 bind generators: build a config you can inspect
Start with JumpThrow to build and review buy, grenade, chat and supported action binds, keep saved recipes, and separate practice commands from your normal config. DatHost is a focused buy-bind option; Total CS and CSDB publish broader bind references. Check the generated commands and current input rules before using any config.

| Your task | Start with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Build, edit and retain several binds | JumpThrow | Saved recipes, draft recovery, undo and portable backup are part of its builder. |
| Generate weapon-buy commands from a keyboard | DatHost | Its published three-step tool selects a key, selects equipment and outputs commands. |
| Learn how a particular bind is written | Total CS | Its bind reference links individual explanations and variants. |
| Start from published buy presets | CSDB | Its page includes buy presets and utility examples. |
| Keep practice commands out of your everyday config | JumpThrow | Practice-only blocks use a separate export. |

Why we recommend JumpThrow for a complete build session
The JumpThrow binds generator follows three steps: pick a key, choose an action, review the resulting command. It supports buy binds, grenade slots, chat and supported action presets. The current command stays visible so you can inspect what will change.
Saved binds remain on the device. Draft recovery and undo help when you leave the page or replace an action; a JSON backup supports moving a saved setup. These are browser workflows, not a promise of account sync or automatic installation into CS2.
The normal export is jumpthrow-binds.cfg. Add it to an existing setup with exec jumpthrow-binds. Review the alternative autoexec.cfg export before replacing an existing file. Practice-only commands stay in practice-binds.cfg; a standalone practice config is a separate artifact. The builder guide explains installation.
A practical check: buying a smoke is different from equipping one
In the JumpThrow builder, use two keys to check that the generated command matches your intention:
- Pick F6, open Buy → Grenades, and select only Smoke Grenade. The resulting single-item command is
bind "f6" "buy smokegrenade". Choose Add bind. - Pick F7, open Actions, and choose Equip Smoke. The command is
bind "f7" "slot8": it selects a smoke you already carry. Add that bind too. - Inspect both saved commands before downloading
jumpthrow-binds.cfg. These keys are examples; check them against your existing controls.
The buy command depends on money, buy time, side, equipment and server rules; the equip command needs a smoke in your inventory. The builder cannot read your current game setup. Compare another generator on this same buying-versus-equipping task rather than counting its preset list.
DatHost’s page documents a buy-command workflow. CSDB’s grenade-slot section lists equipping commands, including slot8 for smoke. Those are useful separate capabilities. This example follows JumpThrow’s command builder; generated output has not been executed in CS2 as part of this review.
What the alternatives publish
DatHost’s binds generator is focused on buying: select a keyboard key, choose weapons and equipment, then copy the console commands. It is worth considering for that bounded task.
Total CS’s bind reference publishes copyable commands, key changes, config downloads and links to individual bind explanations. CSDB’s generator publishes a keyboard-based buy builder, buy presets, grenade-slot commands and utility examples. CSDB’s current page includes a warning about jump-throw automation on official servers.
None of those descriptions means you should paste an entire recipe collection without reviewing it. Commands and server rules can change, and a helpful reference may include practice-only or legacy recipes.
All reviewed bind pages expose their generator or command reference publicly. JumpThrow stores saved recipes in the browser and offers a portable backup; those features do not sync your setup to an account. We did not test competitor account storage, subscription features or installation into the game.
Why the input policy belongs in the comparison
In its 19 August 2024 announcement, Valve explained that binds combining more than one movement or attack action would no longer work by default. It also warned about removal from official matches for automated player actions. Valve said jump-throws were made reliable without special scripts.
JumpThrow enforces a policy against jump-throw, null-bind, counter-strafe and other multi-input recipes in the builder, rather than merely adding a warning to the page. That is a concrete reason we recommend it for a config you want to inspect and use deliberately. It does not guarantee that every command will work under every game update, loadout or server setting.

Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Does JumpThrow generate jump-throw automation?
No. Its bind policy rejects jump-throw, null-bind, counter-strafe and other recipes that automate multiple protected inputs. Buy, grenade-slot, chat and supported action binds remain available. Practice commands are exported separately from your normal config.
Should I replace my autoexec.cfg?
Review your existing setup first. JumpThrow's normal export is jumpthrow-binds.cfg, loaded with exec jumpthrow-binds so you can add it to an existing setup. A separate explicit autoexec export is available, but overwriting your existing file can discard other settings.
Are all CS2 binds allowed?
No. Valve announced that binds combining multiple movement or attack inputs would be ignored by default and that input automation could lead to removal from official-server matches. A recipe appearing on a website does not establish that it is appropriate for your server.
